BBA [3 years]

The three years curriculum, apart from the specific management domain related courses, includes various courses from different areas such as technology, commerce, humanities and liberal arts to improve students’ understanding of key aspects in business management.
At the end of third year, a student can choose any of the following career path
a. Continue for another two Years and pursue MBA
b. Continue for one more year and pursue BBA (Hons.)
c. Exit after third year after taking BBA Degree

BBA (Hons.) [4 years]

This four-year career path is curated for students who wishes to pursue a research-oriented education in their chosen area of specialization in an UG Level. Along with the all-inclusive BBA curriculum, the students pursuing this career path are exposed to advanced specialized courses coupled with the knowledge and skills required for undertaking research. The students can choose any one of the offered specializations.

Integrated MBA [3+2 years]

This programme is divided into two phases: BBA and MBA. On successful completion of five years a student will be entitled to get a BBA as well as an MBA degree. The second phase of the programme will be offered in line with the MBA programme at NICMAR Business School and the students can choose to specialize in an area of specializations as per their choice.

    This course will give budding managers a sound understanding of some of the major sectors like Manufacturing, Banking & Financial Services, Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality, Health Care, IT and ITES. They may choose any three.

  • Engineering Sciences

Realisation Stage I

Realisation Stage I

In the realisation stage, the students have the freedom to choose from seven specialisations namely - business analytics, marketing analytics & digital strategies, infrastructure management, financial strategies, people & communications, supply chain management, and management consulting. The students are encouraged to select a stream of their specialisation and get exposure to advanced knowledge related to it.

Ten electives in total must be taken across Semester IX & X. To graduate with a specific specialisation, students need to take at least six electives from the corresponding elective basket. Alongside, they get an opportunity to learn and apply their skills and knowledge in immersion programmes, internship, and project work.

Dr. Dipayan Roy
Head, IMBA

With a doctorate in Financial Economics from IIM, Indore, and a Master’s degree in Computational Finance from Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Bhubaneswar, Dipayan has over eight years of academic experience, and is passionate about imparting quality education.

Prior to joining NICMAR, he was associated with the Symbiosis International University. He has published several research papers in various journals of repute, and has received many awards for his research work at various academic conferences. He has successfully undertaken multiple consultancy projects related to feasibility assessment studies.

Admission Requirements

  • Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from reserved category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999).
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024. Note: Candidates who have appeared for class XII examination and are awaiting their final results will be provisionally admitted to the programme on the basis of their performance in the selection process. These candidates need to ensure that the pending marksheets are submitted within one month of the commencement of programme, failing which the admission will stand cancelled.
  • Minimum Percentage (%) of marks: Candidate should have Minimum 50% in standard X/SSC (45% for the candidates from reserved category) and should have passed standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations with a Minimum of 50% marks (45% for the candidates from reserved category).

  • Is an internship a part of this program? What kind of support can I expect?

    Of course! The IMBA curriculum includes mandatory internships at the end of Sem IV (Year II) and Sem VIII (year 4) and an optional internship at the end of Sem VI (Year III). The University shall assist the students in this process. What’s more, the internships offered at the end of Sem VIII may also result in attractive PPO (Pre-placement Offer).

  • Is there any compulsory subject I need to take in Class XII to be eligible for IMBA?

    Absolutely not! Students from any stream and with any choice of subjects can apply for IMBA. The program’s courses are taught from the foundation level and from the perspective of a managerial requirement. So, as long as you have passed Class XII, you’re good to go.

  • Is there any restriction on the number of subjects studied in Class XII for students from boards other than CBSE or state boards?

    No, students from all boards are eligible to apply to the IMBA program, irrespective of the number of subjects opted for in Class XII.
