Incubation Activities
The incubation centre shall screen proposals from budding entrepreneurs and selected ones shall be admitted as incubatees. The centre shall enter into agreements with the admitted incubatees, as per the policy framework of the centre. The admitted incubatee startups shall be provided with a wide range of support and services, such as:
- Branding as NICMAR incubated company
- Dedicated mentors with domain expertise
- Shared office space and infrastructure at NICMAR on a discounted rental rates
- Business support services such as accounting, taxation, legal and liaisoning services
- Permission to use library, laboratory and workshop facilities at NICMAR
- Skill development workshops and trainings
- Networking opportunities in both supply and demand side of the business
- Networking with angel investors, venture capitalists and financial institutions
- Possibility of Seed Funding from Government Schemes
The other major activities of the centre include fostering entrepreneurial spirit among present students of NICMAR by conducting workshops, helping them to identify opportunity, prepare business plan, and convert them into business ventures.
Expected Deliverables
Upakram@NICMAR is a place where ideas turn into businesses, creating Job-Givers rather than Job- Seekers. The expected deliverables can be enlisted as follows.
