Leadership Speak

Program structure, course content, and delivery, i.e., pedagogy, is the key performance parameter of any institution. Companies/organizations hire graduates either from some technical institute or some management institute. In both these cases, a graduate hailing from a technical institute lacks management skills, and one from a management institute lacks technical skills. NICMAR programs are designed with a very clear focus to impart knowledge, skills and aptitude so that the graduates are ready to work on the project site from day one without the need for induction or orientation. The syllabi were first developed by experts of management in construction, faculty members of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Michigan, Loughborough University, Indian Institute of Management and other leaders in this field. The curriculum undergoes a timely revision to keep abreast with the latest technological advancements.

NICMAR believes that the method of instruction to maximize learning may vary from course to course and, therefore, uses a host of pedagogical approaches in different courses such as case studies, lectures, group and individual exercises, class projects, and simulation of the business environments to enrich the overall program delivery. Student learning is interactive, hands-on and case-based.

Graduates trained by NICMAR perform excellently with improved efficiency. NICMAR has provided value addition in the area of site administration, site layout, people management, legal regulations, financial matters, risk analysis, business development, international project exports, tendering bidding, contracts, claims handling, and use of information technology for speedy and precise decision making at the time of crisis and for the benefit of the project. These courses are unique and delivered to the students with a focus on situations that arise during the execution of projects.

NICMAR not only makes graduates employable and sought after but brings about holistic growth for them to become future entrepreneurs.

Warm Best Wishes,

Prof. Agarwal Anil L.
