We are delighted to announce that our Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mrs. Sushma S. Kulkarni, has been honoured with the Excellence Enablers Award - Vice Chancellor category (Smt. Kamal Sharma Award) on the 5th of September 2024, in celebration of Teachers' Day, instituted in the memory of the founding trustee of Lexicon Group of Institutions.

NICMAR University, Pune is thrilled to announce an MOU with Ecosan Services Foundation, India to address key challenges in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector.

Aligned with SDGs 4, 6, 12, and 14, this strategic collaboration will focus on real-world exposure, internships, research, education, and industry engagement. A workshop on Sustainable Sanitation & Water Management, under this aegis, will commence in November 2024.

We are happy to share that recently Dr. Mrs. Sushma S. Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor, NICMAR University, Pune, was invited as a panellist at 𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐀 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄, hosted by ObserveNow. The topic of the panel discussion was 'Navigating the Future of Higher Education: Key Trends in EdTech and Digital Transformation,' where she had the privilege to share insights alongside other industry leaders.

NICMAR University Pune’s School of Energy and Environment (SOEE) invited Mr. Sabyasachi Pattanaik, Director at Oracle Energy and Water on 16th August 2024 for the UBUNTU Entrepreneurship Series. Mr. Pattanaik shared his expertise in policy monitoring and market development, discussing the innovative O Power tool, which leverages AI and behavioral science for smart water management and energy efficiency. He also emphasized the growing opportunities in the energy and environmental sectors, encouraging students to continually upgrade their skills.

On 6th September 2024, the students of NICMAR University Pune’s SOEE were privileged to attend an enlightening session by Mr. Sameer Rege on Sustainable Business Management. He shared valuable strategies for startups, such as securing raw materials, converting challenges into opportunities, taking calculated risks, and leveraging breakeven analysis and life cycle cost evaluations (Environmental Statistical Analysis).

Ms. Pranati Shroff-Munot, Director of Shroff Group was invited for a transformative guest lecture on September 3, 2024 by SOEE. Attended by students from the MBA in Environmental Sustainability and Sustainable Energy Management programs, the session provided valuable insights into key sustainability areas such as SDGs, water sustainability, clean energy, net zero, ESG reporting, and green building. Ms. Shroff-Munot’s discussion on fresh air systems for green building certification, along with interactive activities, highlighted the increasing demand for sustainability professionals.

NICMAR Business School, Pune invited Mr. Rabindra Sah, Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President, Indian Register of Shipping Mumbai to deliver a session on "Strategic Operation Decisions” on Friday, 6th Sept. 2024.

Mr. Sah oriented students on operational strategic decisions involved in Digital Manufacturing. He also delved into the intricacies of digital technology integration for better process and facility planning.

NBS, Pune hosted Miss Kanchan Tripathi, Assistant Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, Pune for an expert talk on "Emerging Trends in Investment Banking" on 12th Sept. 2024.

She highlighted the role of AI in Finance and evolving dynamics. She also discussed about the challenges and opportunities available in the investment banking domain and suggested students to never stop dreaming with the motto -"Dream big and work hard to achieve those".

Mr. Ashok Kumar Wadhwa, an Investor, Teacher, Trainer and Equity Trader, since 1980 conducted a workshop on “Technical Analysis and Swing Trading” for the students of NBS, Pune on 14th September 2024. Mr. Wadhwa highlighted the importance of charts in analysis of equity data for better understanding of market dynamics.

Students visited the organization's main building, community workshop for the empowerment of women, orphan students’ school as well as the surrounding ground. An active dialogue session was held involving students, social service volunteers, and administration to learn more about the workings and day-to-day operations of Maher. Some of the students purchased items crafted by the residents of Maher, who were delighted to interact with them.

The students Mr. Aditya Kate, Mr. Aditya Kate (Top 2% in the course), Mr. Samarth Singh (Top 5% in the course), Mr. Anmol Shetkar (Top 5% in the course) of MBA REUIM from the School of Real Estate and Facilities Management have topped the NPTEL MOOC for Infrastructure Economics in the January - June 2024 Term. Owing to their exceptional performance, NPTEL has extended internship opportunities to these students with the relevant IIT or IISc course instructors.

NICMAR University, Pune, celebrated Teachers' Day on 5^th September, 2024 with great enthusiasm. The event commenced with the felicitation of dignitaries and a special token of appreciation for all the educators. President and Chancellor, Dr. Anil Kashyap, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mrs Sushma S. Kulkarni and Registrar, Dr. Prashant Dave delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of students.

Students also expressed their heartfelt gratitude through speeches, sharing their personal experiences at NICMAR University. The celebration concluded with warm wishes extended to all the teachers who continue to inspire and guide

NICMAR University, Pune, welcomed Ganpati Bappa with great enthusiasm during the vibrant ‘Aagman Sohala,’ marking the start of a 5-day celebration. The organizing committee arranged a series of engaging competitions, including Rangoli, Painting, Murti-making, and Box Cricket. The highlight of the festivities was the Cultural Evening, where students showcased their finest traditional attire. The celebration concluded with a grand Visarjan, as students bid farewell to Bappa to the rhythmic beats of the Dhol Tasha.

Students at NICMAR University, Pune, joyfully celebrated Onam, the festival of harvest. The festivities began with an energetic game of Tug of War, followed by a delightful ‘Onam Sadhya.’ A traditional Chenda Melam procession, symbolizing the arrival of King Mahabali, set the tone for a fun-filled afternoon of exciting activities. The celebration continued in the evening with captivating cultural performances, adding to the festive spirit.
