The NICMAR Alumni Meet 2025 in Patna was a heartwarming celebration of nostalgia,

Faculty and students from the School of Energy & Environment actively participated in the CME Technical Sustainable Expo 2025, held at the College of Military Engineering, Dapodi, Maharashtra, from 6th to 8th February 2025. This prestigious platform provided an opportunity to showcase research innovations in sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental resilience to military professionals and experts. Engaging with defence personnel facilitated knowledge exchange on sustainable solutions in infrastructure and operations. The event reinforced the importance of integrating sustainability into Défense strategies while fostering industry-academia collaboration to address real-world environmental challenges.
Students of MBA in Environmental Sustainability recently had an insightful industrial visit to the Sudarshan Chemical Manufacturing Plant in Roha on 7th February 2025. Organized by the School of Energy & Environment, this visit provided first-hand exposure to sustainable manufacturing, environmental compliance, and industrial safety practices in the chemical sector. Key learnings included emissions control, waste management, health & safety protocols, and sustainable innovations in green chemistry. The visit reinforced the importance of regulatory compliance and process optimization for minimizing environmental impact.
Dr. Fredericke Lausch from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, conducted two workshops
for architecture and planning students titled “Architecture Theory and
Criticism” and “Tools for Survival: Exploring Manuals for Self-Reliance in
Planning.” These workshops focused on instilling a research-oriented mindset
among students.
Dr. Prajakta Sane from Canberra, Australia delivered a lecture titled “My
Journey…through Architectural History” which offered both students and
faculty a profound understanding of the role architects as well as planners
play in architectural conservation and history.
Students from the School of Energy & Environment explored key sustainability
and energy management practices through visits to the Sardar Sarovar Dam and
Muniseva Ashram in Gujarat, from 7th to 10th February. At the dam, they
gained insights into hydroelectric power generation, water resource
management, and environmental impact assessment. Observations included the
dam’s 1200 MW power generation capacity, its role in irrigation and water
supply, and advanced automation systems.
At Muniseva Ashram, students witnessed groundbreaking solar innovations,
including large-scale solar cooking, India’s first 100-ton solar-powered air
conditioning system, and an eco-friendly solar crematorium. These visits
reinforced the importance of renewable energy and efficient resource
management in driving sustainable development.
On 2nd and 3rd February, 2025, the Vasant Panchami festival was celebrated with devotion, honoring Goddess Saraswati. The event included Saraswati Puja, Pushpanjali, a Bengali-themed lunch, and Sandhya Aarti. On the second day, the Aarti continued, culminating in the Visarjan ceremony. Students, staff, and the community joined in the celebration, embracing the traditions of knowledge, learning, and the arrival of spring.
The Eye Check-Up Camp, organized in collaboration with Lenskart, aimed to promote eye health and raise awareness about vision care among students, staff, and the local community. The camp offered free eye check-ups, vision screenings, and consultations with expert ophthalmologists. It provided valuable insights into preventing eye-related issues and emphasized the importance of regular eye exams. Participants benefited from early detection of vision problems and received guidance on eye care. The event contributed to the well-being of the community, fostering a proactive approach to health, while strengthening the bond between the university and the surrounding society.
The Fabstar Music Talent Hunt + Free Bike Ride Test & Safety Awareness event provided a platform for students to showcase their musical talents and compete for the chance to kickstart their music careers. The event featured live performances, fostering creativity and building confidence among participants. In addition, Honda BigWing conducted a safety awareness campaign, offering a free bike ride test and educating attendees on road safety practices. This initiative benefited students by enhancing their skills and awareness, while also promoting safety within the community.
The Merch Reveal by NICMAR Fashion Club showcased an exclusive collection of stylish merchandise, building excitement for the upcoming Technikala 2025. The event allowed students to express their creativity, preview unique designs, and set the stage for a stunning showcase. The fashion show, a highlight of the evening, displayed the talent of our budding designers and models, leaving everyone eager for the main event. This exciting reveal was a perfect blend of fashion, creativity, and anticipation for what’s to come at Technikala 2025.
The Soundwave was an electrifying prelude to Technikala 2025. The event set the stage on fire with a fusion of groovy beats and powerful melodies, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with unfiltered music. Surprises kept the energy high, as everyone vibed, grooved, and sang along. Diverse musical performances and vibrant acts captivated the audience, making it a night to remember. It was an incredible opportunity for students, staff, and the wider community to bond over their shared passion for music, paving the way for an exciting and energetic countdown to Technikala 2025.
On 16th February, 2025, the NICMAR Dance Club delivered an unforgettable Flashmob performance at Pavilion Mall, setting the stage for the excitement of Technikala 2025. As the beats dropped and the rhythm took over, the mall was filled with the electrifying energy of our dynamic dancers. Spectators were treated to an impromptu, high-energy spectacle that left everyone in awe and sparked immense excitement for the upcoming grand fest. The vibrant performance brought students, staff, and the wider community together, igniting a sense of unity and anticipation for what's to come in Technikala 2025 – where an ocean of exploration awaits.
On 19th February, 2025, we came together to celebrate the birth anniversary of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a visionary leader and symbol of valor. The ShivJayanti celebrations kicked off with a grand procession featuring a Dhol-Tasha Pathak, beautifully showcasing the vibrant spirit of our rich cultural heritage. The procession led to the MBH Mess, where a traditional lunch was enjoyed by all. In the evening, we honored his legacy with captivating cultural performances at the Main Auditorium. The day united students, staff, and the community in paying tribute to Shivaji Maharaj’s unparalleled leadership and enduring spirit.
On 21st February, 2025, the NICMAR MAD CLUB presented a captivating Nukkad Natak at Kalakar Katta as a prelude to Technikala 2025. Based on Gandhiji's 3 monkeys of humanity—See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil—the play delivered a powerful message about morality and human values. The street performance sparked deep reflection and conversations, blending cultural richness with social awareness. It set the stage for the excitement leading to Technikala 2025, with students, staff, and the community coming together, fueling anticipation for the grand fest ahead.
Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas is a celebration dedicated to honoring the culture, contributions, and heritage of India's tribal communities. The event brings people together to acknowledge the rich traditions, history, and invaluable role played by these communities in shaping the nation's identity. It serves as a reminder of their strength, resilience, and deep-rooted connection to the land.
