We’re excited to announce that Dr. J.S. Sudarsan, Assistant Professor at NICMAR, was recently awarded as “Safety Hero 2022” (Under the category of Senior Safety Professional Award) by GD Goenka University, India.

This safety award was constituted by GD Goenka University, Centre for Excellence Occupational Health Safety Fire and Environment, to honor safety professionals. It is a token of recognition for their contribution in the field of Health Safety and Environment (HSE).

The award was presented by Prof A. C. Kher, IAS officer and former labor commissioner, Government of India in the presence of Dr. S. P. Garg, Vice chancellor, GD Goenka University, former Executive Director Gail India, and Director and Dean of Centre for Excellence Occupational Health Safety Fire and Environment. The main aim of this event was to bring safety professionals together, and to hold the baton to take the HSE to newest heights.

Here's what Dr. Sudarsan had to say about this recognition:

"This award was based on the selection by their jury members from the organization. This is a result of tremendous hard work and a fruit of my teaching, research, and contribution to HSE in the past 6 years. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our Director General, Dr. Anil Kashyap, and constant motivation by my colleagues at NICMAR”.
